Meet The Owner - Wayne W. Winn

Hi, I’m Wayne Winn. Thanks for viewing our website.  As the founder and owner of Home Town Restyling, it is extremely important to me that we meet and/or exceed your expectations.

Not only do we provide quality products and installations, we stand behind them with a 20-year workmanship warranty.  Our customers are a true measurement of our success….just ask one!

I have an extensive background in remodeling. I had seen and heard the stories of the fly-by-night contractors, the truck & ladder guys, and the sub-contractor with no insurance that gets hurt and sues the homeowner. My concept was different. Offer quality products, install them with trained employee labor, and provide after-sale service. And….have an actual place of business where the public could visit and view full-size displays and samples.

In 1986, we opened our first office & warehouse with three employees and by the end of 1989, we had to rent more warehouse space and our employment had risen to twenty-one people. In 1988, we also opened an office with showroom in Coralville.

In 1992, we purchased land on North Center Point Rd. in Hiawatha, where we constructed a new 11,000 sq. ft. facility.  We moved into our new building in 1993 with our employment increasing to thirty-two people. Our reputation was reflected in our sales figures with revenues rising to over $2 million a year. We were featured in Qualified Remodeler magazine as one of the Top 500 Leading Professional Remodeling Companies in the USA and have been recognized annually since.  Remodeling Magazine has featured us as a Top 50 Remodeler. Locally, we were selected “2005 Contractor of the Year”. We continually receive national press in several trade publications.  

In 2005, we increased our warehouse and showroom space and completely remodeled the remainder of the building. We also added kitchen & bath and sunroom displays. Today, we employ over seventy people and our revenue is three times that of 1993.
